Healthy activities are offered in abundance at parks and playgrounds, beautiful Lake Ripley, Camrock Trail and County Park, and much much more. Cambridge Activity Program (CAP) is a great community wide program for all ages. Downtown, you’ll find friendly shopkeepers in an old fashioned Main Street setting featuring cozy coffee shops, dress and jewelry shops, a variety of restaurants, and more. One of my favorite things about Cambridge is our terrific public library where the librarians call their patrons by name! Another is the Community Cafe dinner the First Thursday of every month when everyone in town is invited to share a communal dinner prepared by various local organizations, and socialize with neighbors and friends they’ve not yet met. Community values are at the heart of our village. Some group activities for our youth include several VERY active Boy and Girl Scout troops, 4H and FFA groups, soccer, baseball, basketball, wrestling and swim teams all organized and coached by parents, grandparents and other dedicated teens and adults committed to enriching the lives of our children. I also love that one can walk all across town in just a few minutes! We are truly Small Town USA! If you’re looking for “big city” activities, Madison is a mere 15 minute drive away.
